With one of the most enviable rock n’ roll resumes in existence, Kid Congo Powers was a founding member of cowpunk blues outfit The Gun Club, guitarist for legendary psycho-billy purveyors The Cramps and and Australia’s own, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds.
Following the 2022 release of his long-awaited and critically acclaimed memoir, ‘Some New Kind of Kick’, Kid Congo makes his fourth trip to Australia with long-term cohorts The Pink Monkey Birds in support of their latest album, ‘That Delicious Vice’ out in April via In the Red Records. Recorded in the scorching summer of 2023 in Tucson Arizona at Jim Water’s Waterworks studio, the band were thrilled to collaborate with LA Chicana punk icon, singer of The Bags and author, Alice Bag on songs “Wicked World” and “A Beast, a Priest”.
