Snap Scene: Hunters & Collectors, Red Hot Summer Tour, Mornington Racecourse, Melbourne 18th January 2020

Australian rock band Hunters & Collectors headlined the sold-out Red Hot Summer Tour concert event at Mornington Racecourse on Saturday 18 January 2020 in front of 6,000 people. Led by singer-songwriter Mark Seymour on lead vocals and guitar, Hunters & Collectors is Doug Falconer on drums, John Archer on bass, Barry Palmer on lead guitar, plus their keyboard-playing brass section Jack Howard on trumpet, Jeremy Smith on French horn, and Michael Waters on trombone.

They formed in Melbourne during 1981 and cut their teeth on the Aussie pub rock circuit and brought an art-funk element to their music, releasing nine studio albums before they disbanded in 1998, then reformed in 2013. After opening their set with their first hit Talking to a Stranger, their hit-laden set also included Holy Grail, Say Goodbye, True Tears of Joy, and finished with When the River Runs Dry and Throw Your Arms Around Me.
