Heavy and Hammered was back for its fifth and FINAL year! Once again they handed the unholy reigns over to PBS’s Hard and Heavy shows to summon their favourite bands for an all-day, all-night axe smashing riff fest at The Tote Hotel on Saturday October 5.
Grindhouse are four sexually misguided punk rock outlaws on a mission to deliver low down, cheap seats dirty garage rock action at all costs. From Freddie’s fowl house to Frankston mall, the seeds were sown many years earlier in the forgotten teenage wasteland of Australian suburbia in the early nineties. Sitting in the back of an XD drinking your mates dads unfermented home brew listening to bootleg albums of your rock and roll heroes, then hoping one day that you could start a band that barely came close to what they sounded like.
Peeping Tom have been around for a few years now, playing the local scene and even gracing the stage at Meredith in 2005. They’ve played with the likes of ELectric Wizard, Blood Duster, Dern Rutlidge, Clutch, Rollerball, Forte, Legends of Motor Sport, Mustang, Cockfight Shootout, The Spazzys, Hoss, The Specimens, The Blacklist, Monstrous Blues, Dung and that really does name but a few!
SithLorD: In the summer of 1997/98, the Sithlord journey for playing old school Thrash Metal with touches of modern metal began. Performing with premier Aussie metal acts like Gospel Of The Horns, Abremalin, Pegazus, Atomizer, Anatomy etc, etc, Sithlord recorded the “Labyrinth To The Gods” Ep in 2000 & released it on Bleed Records. In 2002, the long awaited full length debut “The Return To Godless Times” was released on Barbarian Wrath in a limited run of 666 cd’s.
