Snap Scene: Heavy & Hammered V, The Tote – Frankenbok, 5th October 2019

Heavy and Hammered was back for its fifth and FINAL year! Once again they handed the unholy reigns over to PBS’s Hard and Heavy shows to summon their favourite bands for an all-day, all-night axe smashing riff fest at The Tote Hotel on Saturday October 5.

There’s only so long a band can be around before most people would have heard your name, seen you live, or at least claim that you owe them money. Since late last century Frankenbok have been blowing into town after town, damaging hearing, and generally getting the job done where previously there wasn’t even any work.

A stand out track & Frankenbok first is the instrumental Black Saturday – a tribute to the victims and survivors the bushfires.

On the road, across Australia & New Zealand, at every turn Frankenbok keep finding themselves amongst the league of esteemed, extraordinary, somewhat bearded gentlemen in the likes of King Parrot, Wildeornes, Deprivation (3 of Australia’s finest heavy bands) War Bringer (USA) and New Zealand’s finest Sinate and 8 Foot Sativa.
