Snap Scene: Devil Electric, Crowbar, Sydney 4th January 2020

Melbourne’s riff-heavy rockers Devil Electric performed at Crowbar in Sydney on Saturday 4 January 2020 as part of their Australian Tour with Truckfighters. Formed in mid-2015 and taking musical cues from the hard rock greats of the ’70s, Devil Electric is Pierina O’Brien on vocals, Christos Athanasias on guitar, Tom Hulse on bass, and Mark Van De Beek on drums.

German record label Kozmik Artifactz released their self-titled debut album in August 2017, of which Rolling Stone said it’s “a spellbinding debut” and “thrilling vintage-doom meets modern rock.” The album debuted at #4 on the AIR Charts and the first vinyl pressing sold out within two weeks of its release. Devil Electric continues to attract those who like the darker side of rock’n’roll to their fast-growing international fanbase.
