Snap Scene: Cockney Rejects, Corner Hotel, Melbourne 23rd October 2019

East End London punks the Cockney Rejects played the Corner Hotel in Melbourne on Wednesday 23 October 2019, as part of their first-ever Australia Tour. Formed in 1979, The Rejects pioneered the Oi! music genre – a rough brand of working-class rebellion that aimed to bring together punks, skinheads, and other disaffected youth through music and associated subculture.

Cockney Rejects are vocalist Jeff Geggus (aka Stinky Turner), his brother Mick Geggus on guitar, Vince Riordan on bass, and drummer Joe Sansome (Reigning Days). The band members are loyal supporters of West Ham United football team.
