Pioneers of the London Acid Jazz scene, The Brand New Heavies, have been responsible for some of the UK’s biggest R&B and soul tracks of the time. They hit the US top 5 singles chart with their hit ‘Never Stop’ from their self-titled debut album. They continued to gain momentum in the UK and US into the 90s with tracks such as ‘Stay This Way’, ‘Dream on Dreamer’ and ‘Sometimes’ and establishing the Heavies as a musical force. They went on to collaborate with artists such as Grand Puba, Kool G. Rap and Gang Starr’s Guru.
