New Zealand’s sludge metal kings Beastwars performed at Stay Gold in Melbourne on Thursday 6 February 2020 to kick-off their short 2020 Australian Tour in support of new single This Mortal Decay.
With Matthew Hyde on vocals, Clayton Anderson on guitar, James Woods on bass, and Nathan Hickey on drums, Beastwars’ fourth album IV has been hailed around the world, debuting domestically at number 1 on the Top 40 album charts. The heavy act was also nominated for Best Group and Best Rock Album at the New Zealand Music Awards last year, a nomination they’ve amazingly earned for all four of their studio albums released since 2011.
