On June 4, 2025, at Melbourne Town Hall, as part of the RISING festival, New Zealand artist Marlon Williams debuted his Māori-language album Te Whare Tīwekaweka. This performance features his band, The Yarra Benders, and a local Kapa Haka group, blending country, bluegrass, and pop with traditional Māori rhythms. It’s a powerful celebration of identity, language, and sonic beauty.
