In the middle of Melbourne’s East End sits AC/DC Lane, a tribute to the prolific rock band by the same name. Originally called Corporation Lane, it was renamed in 2004 by the then Lord Mayor John So in honor of the band’s huge success internationally. Today AC/DC Lane holds many tributes to the band, as well as miscellaneous street art and graffiti. One specific piece stands out amongst the others, a sculpture built into the brick walls of the lane paying tribute to Ronald “Bon” Scott, the lead vocalist for AC/DC until his death in 1980.
