Snap Scene: Joel Silbersher, Punters Club Reunion, Leaps and Bounds Festival, Abbotsford Convent, 3rd July 2022 by Mary Boukouvalas

A founding member of the late eighties seminal rock group God from Melbourne, Australia. Silbersher has also released solo material under the names ‘Sabotage’ and ‘Melonman’. From the time GOD disbanded, Silbersher went on to form ‘Hoss’. Since 1996 Silbersher has contributed consistently to Tex Perkins solo albums, and is a member of The Dark Horses. Silbersher has also occasionally played bass live for the Dirty Three — making it ‘Dirty Three and a Turd’.

Punters Club Reunion. Getting the band(s) back together! A trip down memory lane – aka 1990s Brunswick Street – we pay homage to the musos who helped shape the Melbourne music scene.

These are the artists who cut their teeth at the Punters Club, over cheap beers and a really sticky carpet. These are the artists you would have seen on any given evening (or Sunday arvo) on a stroll through Fitzroy.
