Scene News: Zipper Down Under raised $8000.00

Zipper Down Under, the fundraiser held on Saturday 2nd of Jan at Cherry Bar to raise money for the 2015 Paris Terrorist attacks raised over $8000.00 and are still continuing the raise funds for the victims of the attack via The Sweet Stuff Foundation which occurred at an Eagles Of Death Metal show.

The show was a sell out.

The event created by Ash Lightning of Melbourne rock’n’roll band Atomic Riot and Cassie Walker of Peachy Entertainment, was put together in under a month, with live performances from Henry Wagons, The Tarantino’s, Pretty City, Clea Freeman, If You See Her Say Hello, Muscle Car, Coffin Wolf and the Eagles Of Death Metal tribute act Pigeons Of Shit Metal made up of members of Atomic Riot, Drifter, Sexy/Heavy and The Val.

The two, both massive fans of Eagles of Death Metal were personally touched by the November 2015 attacks and put on a night of peace, love and rock’n’roll.

The night also had an art auction with art donated by Kanye Lens, Pascal D’Bras, Josie Bones, Mary Rocklust and Right Eye Media.

The Eagles Of Death Metal called out to musicians all over the world of all different genres to record their track Love You All The Time and all the proceeds will be donated to the victims, this inspired Ash & Cassie to put together an entire set of songs, with a vast variety of Melbourne musicians, the song is now being recorded and set to be released later this month, along with an online store selling art, pins and jewellery to continue raising funds, visit to purchase
