NOW this is going to be an unusual musical collaboration.
Old punks The Painters And Dockers have invited their pals the Burundian Traditional Dance Troupe to join them at a pub show at Max Watts So n Saturday October 15.
Dockers singer Paulie Stewart said, “It will be great to get these guys playing at a venue where they usually wouldn’t get a gig. Their drumming is just awesome.”
Burundian drumming troupe spokesman and hot young rapper Fablice Manikirza said, “I often jump up and do a song with the Dockers and so I know this pub show with my African friends will be so much fun. They are going to have their minds blown.”
“I had never seen rock and roll before I came to Australia. Never heard of Elvis, The Stones or AC/DC. Now I love it,’’ said the former refugee, child soldier and recently named Young Victorian Achiever Of The Year.
“I particularly love The Dockers because they just don’t talk the talk, they bring us along and offer us a great new opportunity. All I can say is: DOCK ON.’’
