Scene News: Western Russia’s Wildways deliver “Day X” – Metalcore with a message

Known as one of the biggest metalcore bands from Western Russia, Wildways is currently a force to be reckoned with. The band released their sophomore album, Day X earlier this year, exclusively in Russia, which debuted at number 2 on the Apple rock charts and has since garnered over 3.7 million streams.  Elsewhere, Wildways’ Day X is set to be released on September 14th.  [pullquote]”We want to encourage listeners to think about how they would spend their last 24 hours on earth, if they knew the world was ending,” says vocalist, Toli Borisov.[/pullquote] Each track on the record plays a part of the album’s overall theme, which is about doomsday and realizing we won’t be on earth forever. The band released a new single titled, “Self Riot”, the second track of the album, which has the characters questioning if the world is actually ending or not, before finding out the answer.

Wildways’ previous album “Into The Wild” was released on Artery Recordings in March of 2016 with the first single, “Faka Faka Yeah” reaching 1.4 million views on YouTube alone.

Wildways is not about genres but creating something that gives fans something to feel. The band aims to combine overwhelmingly emotional lyrics and an amazing stage presence while fusing a unique blend of various core genres, to create something that will blow you away!

Wildways’ Day X will be released September 14th via Pale Chord Music
