Scene News: US Comedian Duncan Trussell, First Australian Tour

Duncan Trussell, the voice behind wildly popular podcast Duncan Trussell Family Hour, heads down under this November, to perform for his ‘dear, sweet, beautiful Australian friends’ for the first time.

Duncan’s name will be a familiar one to anyone with even a passing interest in comedy podcasts. A staple on the Australian charts, The Duncan Trussell Family Hour deftly blends humour with fringe ideas, eclectic guests and excellent interviews.

Duncan is a regular guest on The Joe Rogan Experience and was one of the first comedians to embrace the podcast format. Alongside fellow comic Natasha Leggero, Duncan co-hosted the breakout podcast Lavender Hour between 2010 and 2012. A fixture on the LA comedy scene and a regular at the legendary Comedy Store, Duncan has also appeared on a variety of television programs such as Joe Rogan Questions Everything, Drunk History, This Isn’t Happening, Curb Your Enthusiasm and as the voice of Ron James on Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time.

Joining Duncan for his upcoming Australian tour is Los Angeles-based rising star Johnny Pemberton who is known for his experimental approach to stand-up and foul mouth and appeared at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival. A regular on The Duncan Trussell Family Hour and host of his own podcast, Twisting The Wind, Johnny has already amassed a substantial array of credits including 21 & 22 Jump Street, The Watch, This is 40, Armando Iannucci’s Oscar-nominated film In The Loop, Jimmy Kimmel Live and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
