LearnToLive is a humanitarian organisation that provides health care, health education, and clean water solutions to communities worldwide through the promotion of self-sustaining practices. LearnToLive to date has helped over 4000 people worldwide, working with communities that lack health care and education resources by providing the means to create a sustainable future for less fortunate communities around the world.

Yanti Turang is the founder and director of LearnToLive. She was awarded the 2014 Latrobe Young achiever award and was recognised on Australia Day 2015 as one of the Future Chasers of Australia. She has most recently returned from Sierra Leone where she was stationed as a nurse on the front line of the ebola outbreak. She currently lives in New Orleans but will be in Australia and available for interviews in the week leading up to the event. All proceeds raised from the event go directly to funding LearnToLive’s July Healthcare Clinics and Sustainable Rainwater Catchment program in North Sulawesi, Indonesia.
