Melbourne based Sun Records tribute show, Sun Rising, returns to The Thornbury Theatre and its majestic ballroom on Saturday, June 20th.

With sold out shows nationally and an endorsement from the family of Sun Records founder, Sam Phillps, this energetic and passionate show will blow your socks clean off.

Sun Rising focuses on the early years of Sun Records, featuring artists including Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Howlin’ Wolf and many more.

This time around, the show returns with even more songs and stories made famous by the artists and studio producer, Sam Phillips of the legendary Sun Records, Memphis.

Sun Rising began as an idea for a show by Melbourne original musicians, David Cosma and Damon Smith and since it’s humble beginnings three years ago, the band has gone on to sell out shows all over the country, headlining festivals and performing to packed theatres.

Recruited to bring this show to life is some of Melbourne’s most talented musicians; Trent McKenzie (Upright Bass), Adam Coad (Drums) and Adrian Whyte (Lead Guitar and Vocals)
