Performers from across Victoria are invited to submit an expression of interest through the City of Melbourne by 5pm, Thursday 10 February.

On The Road Again – Melbourne’s live music pop-ups
Throughout summer and over the coming months, the Victorian Government in partnership with the City of Melbourne are delivering a range of live music pop-up gigs at iconic outdoor locations across Melbourne’s CBD.
The Victorian Government’s On The Road Again initiative supports live music coming back all over Victoria. It invests in local talent and ensures that the Victorian music industry reactivates and recovers as strong as ever as live music comes back to local spaces, stages and festivals.
The surprise pop-up gigs throughout the city provide a platform to support a range of musicians across different genres, styles and sounds.
In December, Tones and I kicked off the free pop-up gigs that also included performances from some of Australia’s biggest acts, including Vika and Linda Bull, Amy Shark, Daryl
Braithwaite, Tash Sultana, Budjerah and the Pierce Brothers.
Over four weeks in February and March some of Victoria’s music industry bodies will help curate live music street performances and there will be a massive busking program of up to 720 musical live performances designed to showcase and support Victorian talent. A variety of musical artists will entertain, inspire and delight the passing crowds, helping enhance the creative atmosphere in the city each week.
On The Road Again reaffirms and celebrates Victoria’s reputation as the live music capital of Australia. The initiative is also supporting a jam-packed calendar of events for Victorian music fans across regional Victoria and outer-metropolitan Melbourne throughout the year that will feature artists including Baker Boy, Emma Donovan and The Putbacks, Isaiah Firebrace, Kaiit, Gordi and Music in Exile.
