With only a month to go until Australiaâs Largest Female-Fronted Music Festival, Sad Grrrls Club have announced details of the curated market stalls that will be appearing at Sad Grrrls Fest Melbourne on October 1st and Sad Grrrls Fest Sydney on October 8th. On top of that, theyâve also announced a Sad Grrrls Fest Sideshow in Newcastle, featuring Sydneyâs BANDINTEXAS, as well as local acts Hey Lady!, Jen Buxton and more.
The Newcastle show sees Sydney four-piece Bandintexas playing alongside a stacked lineup of Novocastrian artists including; Hey Lady!, Jen Buxton & The Slaughterhouse Five, Codi Kaye and Aitah. The free show is sandwiched in between the Melbourne and Sydney dates, taking place on Thursday October 6th at The Hamilton Station Hotel.
Adding to an already jam-packed day, Sad Grrrls Fest Melbourne will see market stalls being held by LISTEN, Girls Rock! Melbourne, Jewellery by Snacks, Prani and Crafts & Rec, and zines by Orenda Magazine and Sensitive Adult Daily, who are putting together a Sad Grrrls Fest special edition. There will also be artwork for sale by Draw By Four. The Reverence Hotel Kitchen will also be serving festival food through the day, including their famous vegan options.
In Sydney, Crafts and Rec will be returning for a second year, with their feminist jewellery and patches, Cat and The Crow will be selling their unique cross-stitch artwork, pins and apparel by Stern Face, zines by Subbed In and jewellery by Haus Of Dizzy.
