RocknRolla No. 2: Melbourne and Tassie combine
After the raging and ragged success of the first RocknRolla in April as part of Month Of The Prince, RocknRolla is back on Friday May 8 with a line-up that quite literally
captures the best in emerging rock’n’roll from Melbourne and Tasmania!
Mighty Boys are Dan Watt’s favourite band IN THE WORLD – which is extra sweet considering that this RocknRolla coincides with the youthful looking 33 year-old’s 34th birthday*. Mighty Boys combine cutting and clever social commentary with compelling garage rock.
Kill Dirty Youth, originally hail from Newcastle, since moving to St. Kilda have become the south side of Melbourne’s newest rock’n’roll champions. Their unrelenting brand of hard rock possesses elements of glam, speed and metal. One of their sets is a little like jamming one’s head into the afterburner F-22 Raptor.
Tassie’s Verticoli are making the trip over for their debut Melbourne gig. The Hobart three-piece play straight-up heavy rock with more power chords then you can poke a stick at.
Opening the night while you all suck down Sailor Jerry’s is Brent Lockhart and Seattle
who make up two thirds of Dumb Punts.
Music starts at 8:30pm and entry is free.
Prince Public Bar is located at 29 Fitzroy st. St Kilda.
*This means that our kind friends at Sailor Jerry will be putting on free Sailor Jerry’s from 8pm-9pm
