Scene News: Reverend Funk & the Horns of Salvation Playing the music of James Brown

Saturday 6th June – 8PM The Godfather of soul, James Brown comes alive with a tribute performance by Reverend Funk & The Horns of Salvation. Dance, shake and let your backbone slip as you hustle your way onto the dance floor on Saturday June 6th at the Flying Saucer Club for a funky good time! With a blasting 3-piece horn section, tight funky rhythms of ‘The Brotherhood of Groove’ alongside the vocal styling of ‘The Rev. GT Funk’ and his gals, this band will passionately recreate the songs that made James Brown the star power Soul music icon that he is.

In this praise to the music of James Brown, the band will revisit every track they have ever played over their 15 years of live performances. The Reverend Funk Band have been on the live music scene since 1998 playing Old Soul, Funk, Rhythm & Blues, Motown and Disco to sold out shows Australia wide. As a lover of Soul, Funk, Rhythm & Blues or if you just like to shake what your mamma gave you, you cannot afford to miss this amazing night of entertainment by one of Melbourne’s finest and funkiest bands.
