Scene News: Reclink Community Cup – Full Band Line-up & Pre-sales announcement

reclink-lineupThe Cup is being polished, the Sherrin is being pumped, excitement is mounting as preparations are underway for the annual take-no-prisoners traditional clash between the Rockdogs and Triple R 102.7FM / PBS 106.7FM Megahertz which will be fought out at Elsternwick Park on Sunday 21st June.

With only three weeks until the event, it is time to reveal who will be performing and as always it’s a fun-packed and quality bunch of eclectic acts…..

Joining the previously announced appearance of one of Australia’s most revered musicians Adalita, (who will be performing with her powerhouse band of Lewis Boyes, Matt Bailey and Dan McKay), will be the shimmering and mesmerizing melancholic pop of Melbourne trio Pearls who are bound to capture the crowd’s attention with their tantalizing and hypnotic stage presence. The Public Opinion Afro Orchestra, with their 19 piece outfit, will set the place alight with their infectious afro-beat grooves melded with African funk.

Also gracing the stage will be those Melbourne based swampy horror rock aficionados Graveyard Train, who will deliver their own special blend of frenetic foot stomping country music destined to stir up the crowd at Elsternwick Park with their ability to set the party tone like no other band.

And first up kicking things off for the day at noon, a family pre-match treat, Ally Spazzy’s Kiddyrock and the Cool Bananas will be performing their rock ‘n’ roll jam sessions especially for the kids.

With the event turning 21 this year, it’s finally all grown up and embracing the electronic age and now attendees can pre-purchase their ticket to secure their spot at one of Melbourne’s most loved events.

For the first time ever punters can purchase their Reclink Community Cup tickets online via Oztix presales at www.oztix.com.au which will be on sale from Friday 29th May.
