Cheersquad Records & Tapes products received news that their manufacturer’s pressing plant had to go in to lockdown.

The fine folk at Cheersquad sent out the following email today:

Although the pressing plant was initially under the impression that they could continue to operate in these Covid times, they have found themselves in quite the opposite position, I’m afraid. Like many of us they are being shafted by this freakin’ virus and have to momentarily cease operations, so halting all vinyl production.

Until these restrictions are (hopefully) lifted in a couple of weeks, they won’t be allowed to manufacture any product. Therefore we’re giving you a heads up that we may be a little late with the pre-orders of vinyl of our forthcoming releases. Sorry.

We will all get back on track sooner than later, so do feel free to make a pre-order purchase of future releases, as it of course will be honoured and shipped as soon as we can. Plus, the free digital download which comes with your album purchase will be available on Bandcamp from release date.

Also remember that we still have many current titles available for purchase that can be sent out immediately.

Gersey’s Hope Springs digital release this Friday!

Reissue of ‘Hope Springs’, the debut album from Melbourne indie rock act GERSEY. Twenty years since its original release on Trifekta Records, this version will be available on vinyl for the very first time.

Gersey are an indie-rock band that formed in 1997. Since 1999, the band has featured the core membership of Craig Jackson (vocals, bass), Matt Davis (guitar), Daryl Bradie (guitar) and Dan Tulen (drums).

“It’s hard to reconcile the making of Hope Springs without recalling the glorious inner north of Melbourne in the late 1990s. The Fitzroy scene was abuzz, a youthful and colourful indie haven. NEW Nick Craft Limited Edition Splatter Vinyl

Nearly two years after the release of Nick Craft‘s solo album Minerva, Nick has pressed the album on a sensational looking, limited edition, splatter vinyl. Minerva is also available on black 180gr vinyl and on CD. The vinyl comes with a download card for a free digital download.Perhaps best known as songwriter, musician and front man for the psychedelic rock band Sidewinder, Nick recorded ‘Minerva’ with his brother and former band mate, Martin. This record marks the first time they have worked together since Sidewinder, this time in very different capacities. Martin took on the roles of producer and arranger, taking Nick’s lyrically-driven songs into a new realm with his understated and sophisticated string arrangements. These arrangements were recorded with a crack squad of musicians in Los Angeles, using players who are more used to working on film soundtracks or with high profile artists such as Father John Misty, Quincy Jones or Brian Wilson.
