Scene News: Pot of Gold – A Safe Space Yes! Party – Nov 15 at The Old Bar

Laura Imbruglia is putting her curation talents into throwing a Yes! party at The Old Baron the day the plebiscite results are announced (Wednesday Nov 15), with all proceeds going to Minus18 to support LGBTQI+ youth.

Determined to provide a safe space, a great gig and a celebration of queerness regardless of the result, she has assembled a killer line-up for you to enjoy featuring TOTALLY MILD (whose ear candy of a new single “Today Tonight” has just been released), LALIC (whose underground pop gems have been quietly blowing minds over the past few years), THE HUXLEYS (performance art/high fashion heroes seen on ABC iview’s Creative Couples, Amateur Hour, Discordia), SHANIA CHOIR (Darlings of Melbourne Fringe and Shania HERSELF) and DJ CREME BRULEE (that’s Laura on some CDJ’s she bought off a guy on facebook marketplace).

If you’re in support of LGBTQI+ citizens (and if not, why not?) it’s a great event for putting your $ where your mouth is. ALL PROCEEDS from the door go to Minus18 and Old Bar are sending 50% of the profit of The Sparkke Change Beverage Company’s “Say I Do” white wine sales to Minus18 too.

Sparkke themselves donate 10% of all sales to whichever cause their products represent, so it’s a no brainer. Be there!
