Scene News: Much loved indie singer and songwriter, Katie Wighton, has released her new single, Dear John, via ABC Music

Katie is the much-loved vocalist/guitarist from the ARIA Award-winning group All Our Exes Live in Texas. She has been releasing quality singles under her own guise since 2020. Of her new single, Dear John, Katie said “It was a labour of love – 5 years in the writing. It is a song I wrote about not wanting my boyfriend at the time to leave. It was sort of a bit of a desperate plea even though we were very in love. Hilariously he did leave me, so I’m not sure if this song tipped him over the edge, but we got back together in the end!”

The album The End is a series of reflections on events that have occurred in Katie’s life. They touch on relationships with the wrong person, heartbreak, reconciliation and reaffirming the need to live your best life.
