On 4th November 2015, Shock Entertainment in association with the BBC Worldwide, will release on DVD the critically acclaimed major music documentary ‘SHOW ‘EM WHAT YOU’RE MADE OF’ featuring the biggest selling boy band in the world, the Backstreet Boys.
Directed by Stephen Kijak, (Rolling Stones – Stones in Exile), the film tells the story of A.J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell – otherwise known as the Backstreet Boys. The biggest boy band ever, they formed in the mid-1990s and found fame with tracks such as I Want It That Way, Everybody and As Long As You Love Me.
Alongside the highs were real lows, including their lawsuit with former manager Lou Pearlman – now serving a 25 year prison sentence for fraud – and A.J.’s battle with drug and alcohol addiction that saw him spend time in rehab.
Now with all five original members back together, this film offers the Backstreet Boys the opportunity to tell their truly unique, and at times, heartbreaking story for the first time. A story that moves from fame and fortune to talent exploitation and familial disputes, building up to their regeneration, and culminating in a world tour and a brand new top five album.
The release will also feature the Backstreet Boys live in concert recording taken from their In A World Like This Tour (also known as the 20th Anniversary Tour). One of the biggest tours in the group’s tenure, the performance was recorded in Saitama, Japan on October 12th, 2013.
