Scene News: La Petite Mort, Butterfly Club – Melbourne Fringe Festival

Humphrey Bogart sings Nick Cave? Lauren Bacall sings Taylor Swift?
Neo Radio presents La Petite Mort: rock, pop and rap reimagined by sultry singers and a live jazz band. Don your fedora for a film noir experience in classic radio play style.
La Petite Mort transports music by artists like Nick Cave, Amy Winehouse and Taylor Swift to the steamy streets of jazz land upstairs at the Butterfly Club from 22 September.
The dastardly escapade features sultry singers Sam Qualtrough (SuadeSerenadePablo), Yvette Hearn (NuanceSerenade) and Suzanne Barton (Rush Hour Big Band, Old Time Music Hall, OperaBox).
The dulcet tones of Paul David-Goddard (An Air Balloon Across Antarctica (Fringe First Award Nomination, Edinburgh Fringe Festival; Adelaide Fringe Festival), Mr & Mrs MurderThe Sculptor) provide narration for this tongue-in-cheek whodunnit.
French for “the little death”, la petite mort is an idiom for orgasm. Neo Radio invites you to indulge in an evening of devious delight.
