Scene News : Joe Rogan adds second Melbourne show

Rogan’s reputation for selling out theatres was proven with his 8pm show on November 14 selling out this week in just five minutes. He will now perform a second show that night at 10pm.

Joe Rogan has been a stand-up comedian for more than 20 years, known for his inquisitive and intense comedic style. He also has a worldwide following as host of , one of the most popular podcasts on iTunes, which features long-form conversation with guests from comedy, science, social activism and mixed martial arts. It is also available as a live stream and broadcast on satellite radio in the States.

Rogan has provided commentary for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) since 2002, broadcast in Australia on Fox Sports. His passion for Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) began at 13. Rogan earned a black belt within two years and not long after became the full-contact Tae Kwon Do champion of his state, a title he held for four consecutive years. By age 19 Rogan had won the US Open Tae Kwon Do Championship and, as a lightweight champion, went on to beat both the middle and heavyweight title-holders to take the Grand Championship.

In 2014, Rogan released his fourth hour-long comedy special Joe Rogan: Rocky Mountain High which debuted on Comedy Central in November. This followed Joe Rogan: Live from the Tabernacle (2012), Talking Monkeys in Space (2009) on CD and DVD, and Joe Rogan Live (2007) released on DVD. Additionally, Rogan released Shiny Happy Jihad (2007) and I’m Gonna Be Dead Someday (2000) on CD.

Rogan’s TV credits are numerous and include hosting reality show Fear Factor, starring in NewsRadio and also his own reality series Joe Rogan Questions Everything. He was seen in the film Here Comes The Boom (2012) and also starred in the film Zookeeper (2011).
