Australian indie-pop legends Last Dinosaurs are the perfect band to celebrate Australian live music. The success of their first two albums, 2012’s In A Million Years and 2015’s Wellness established them as stalwarts of the international indie-rock scene. Selling out shows across Australia as well as huge headlining tours and festival plays across the UK and Europe, Southeast Asia and South Africa, Last Dinosaurs have supported international acts such as Foals, Two Door Cinema Club, Bloc Party and Foster the People and made appearances at festivals worldwide.

2018 saw the release of third album, Yumeno Garden. The first two singles ‘Dominos’ and ‘Eleven’ went straight to high rotation on triple j, while the album tour sold out multiple venues in each city across the country. Last Dinosaurs then announced their first ever US tour, with the first round of shows in Chicago and LA selling out in under a minute, the tour quickly expanded into 17 sold out shows around the States. 2020 saw the band release massive new single ‘Flying’, a deviation from their indie rock roots to a French house and 90’s nu-disco-inspired sound. We’re excited to catch Last Dinosaurs new track and epic live set in such an intimate setting for Jack Daniel’s LIVE AT LAST!

Add the wild live show of Dear Seattle to the mix and you’ve got yourself one huge night in Brisbane! The band’s 2017 self-titled EP led them to tours with the likes of Kingswood, Hockey Dad and Trophy Eyes and play festival slots at Groovin The Moo, Unify, Party In The Paddock and Bigsound. Their singles ‘The Meadows’ and ‘Afterthought’ received handsome triple j airplay and the band signed with Domestic La La, the record label spearheaded by Violent Soho guitarist James Tidswell, who was blown away by the quartet’s searing live show.

In February 2019 the band released their debut album, Don’t Let Go. The record finds the band toning down some of the grunge overtones of their EP while pursuing the quiet-loud raw rock’n’roll dynamics that have made them one of the country’s most exciting new groups: big riffs, anthemic choruses, snotty vocals and plenty of substance. It’s heartfelt, it’s life affirming, and we can’t wait to see it live when they join Last Dinosaurs for Jack Daniel’s LIVE AT LAST.

“Jack Daniel’s has a long history in music and has always been part of the moments that count; on stage and in the crowd, with artists and their fans. Jack Daniel’s remains part of the live music fabric and so we are thrilled to be announcing these shows to celebrate Australia’s live music industry” says Dimi Tassopoulos, Senior Brand Manager at Jack Daniel’s.

The past 12 months have been tough, but a fresh energy is building. People are eager to get back to doing what they love. Live music connects us like nothing else and it’s been sorely missed, so let’s put artists back on stage and music fans back in crowds with Jack Daniel’s LIVE AT LAST.
