Peachy Entertainment and The Spotted Mallard present: Bang-A-Gong on Saturday 11th June
Come up the stairs and be taken back to the glitter and glam of the 1970s where music icon Marc Bolan and his band gave birth to Glam Rock.
In a time when rock’n’roll was becoming sexy and disco had the hip dancing, T. Rex took a leap of unorthodox faith to produce timeless hits that caused creative juices to flow from the greats ~David Bowie, The Beatles ~ and local musicians alike.
The Spotted Mallard is celebrating all things T.Rex and glam on Saturday 11th June with a dedicated glam rock night: Bang-A-Gong.
Opening the night is the original female rock DJ of Melbourne, DJ Mermaid ~ the fiery, walking library of rock’n’roll, the vinyl spinning red head who has played with some of the biggest international stars and always know what tunes will fill the dance floor.
The live performance is brought to you by Melbourne fuzz-rock band Pretty City. Fresh from performing at SXSW, and touring the USA, Pretty City left international crowds wanting more and return home, ready to impress, and to show their deep appreciation for the glam rock tunes of T.Rex.
Keeping you on the dance floor is Brunswick’s own DJ duo: Heels On Decks, who will get you moving with a collection of catchy rock tunes from the 1950s to now.
