CREATURE is a neighbourhood dive bar with a B-movie skin and a love for great booze. After quietly emerging just after Christmas 2022, CREATURE has been progressively evolving and is now ready for an official launch party on July 8th.CREATURE is a collaboration between two couples: Nick Caddaye and Leah Collins with Bec Mitchell and Daniel Sheppard.Nick and Leah are founders and operators of the long-running Melbourne indie-pop dance floor institution Mr. McClelland’s Finishing School. After 15 years and over 75,000 people through the door, they partnered up with their long-term friends Bec and Dan, stalwarts of Melbourne’s music and comedy scenes, to bring CREATURE to life.CREATURE pulls together the nerdy passions of its owners. Nick and Leah’s personal collection of movie memorabilia, posters and artwork give an ever-shifting peek into their pop-culture loves. A selection of Dan and Bec’s vinyl collection dominates the far end of the bar, providing a heady mix of obscure and familiar tunes to soundtrack the night.The team is constantly seeking out the best new drops to bring in, focusing heavily on small Victorian breweries. So at the bar you’ll find six taps of excellent local beers. Recent offerings have included The Mill, Molly Rose, Frexi, Fury & Son, 2 Brothers and Holgate, and a stream of beers from Co-conspirators (who the team are working with on a special brew). 
Outside of beer, CREATURE offers a curated range of spirits and a hand-picked cocktail menu including The Chupacabra (a twist on the classic Margarita), The Anaconda (a chilean pisco sour), and the Elm Street Espresso Martini (guaranteed to keep you out of Freddy’s clutches).
