Yarraville Laughs presents a night of world class comedy from top to bottom with Felicity Ward, Sammy J, Luke McGregor and Harley Breen at Yarraville Club on Friday, October 23.

FELICITY WARD
Felicity Ward is a star of Australian TV and a darling of the live circuit, with an international reputation that is growing daily.  She has had phenomenal success at the world’s biggest comedy festivals: Melbourne, Montreal and Edinburgh.  In 2012 she dominated every single comedy award in Australia, either winning or being nominated in every category. In 2015 her show was the third best reviewed show of the entire Edinburgh Fringe.

She has appeared in the feature films ‘Any Questions for Ben?’ and ‘The Inbetweeners 2’.  In October 2014, her first documentary, ‘Felicity’s Mental Mission’ premiered on ABC TV. Now based in London she has recently appeared on ‘The John Bishop Show’ and ‘Russell Howard’s Good News’.

‘Felicity Ward’s savage honesty, animated physicality and stories of personal bugbears evoke legendary comics such as Carol Burnett and Lucille Ball.’ (Sydney Morning Herald)

SAMMY J
Barry Award winning musical comic (with Randy), Sammy J is truly one of the most inventive and most likeable comic performers in the country.

Sammy J and Randy’s first sitcom, Sammy J and Randy in Ricketts Lane airs on ABC1 from 14 October 2015.

Sammy’s solo roles range from the hosting satirical Democratic Party interview series at The Wheeler Centre to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) TV Gala and ABC1’s 2013 AWGIE award winning political comedy, ‘Wednesday Night Fever’.

With his standup and hilarious songs, Sammy J is a guaranteed crowd pleaser, with an ARIA nominated album to boot!

‘An endlessly creative talent.’ (Time Out London, UK)

LUKE McGREGOR
Immediately after the 2014 MICF, Luke McGregor took his smash hit show ‘I Worry That I Worry Too Much’ to the Sydney Comedy Festival and was awarded Best Newcomer 2014 in another outstanding festival season for him.  He then went on to perform his debut season at the Edinburgh Festival and a return season at the Soho Theatre in London.  In 2015 he performed a return season of three sold out shows at the Comedy Theatre in Melbourne.

Luke co-starred in the feature film ‘Border Protection Squad’ with Peter Helliar, Ryan Shelton, Dave Hughes and Lachy Hulme and on television, Luke has appeared in ‘Legally Brown’ (SBS), ‘Time Of Our Lives (ABC1) and  Josh Thomas’ ‘Please Like Me’ (ABC/Pivot).

His ‘ginger wonderland’ date with Sibylla Budd in ‘It’s A Date’ (ABC1) stole the show, and he garnered cult figure status amongst the celebrities lucky enough to be interviewed by him on ‘Dirty Laundry’ (ABC2).  Luke has also appeared on ‘The Project’ as a correspondent, and ‘Utopia’ on ABC.   Luke will soon appear on the big screen in the feature film ‘Now Add Honey’.

HARLEY BREEN
Honest, refreshing and quick witted, Harley Breen is a standout live performer with the awards to prove it.  A regular on the Australian circuit, Harley has a legion of loyal fans.  Harley projects the immediately relatable image of the unpretentious Aussie male; but he doesn’t just use his instant likeability as a platform to deliver solid, topical material, he also delves right to the bottom of things to create a true bond with his audience, making him the perfect MC.

‘He reminds me a lot of a younger Billy Connolly.’ (The Heckler)
