The Unbelievables will fill Arts Centre Melbourne’s Hamer Hall with jaw-dropping magic, breathtaking circus and the world’s most spectacular ballroom dancers from January 3 – 13 2018. The show of the summer will be filled with the same belly-laughs and heart-stopping thrills and spills audiences have come to expect from the producers and director of the international hits The Illusionists andCircus 1903.
Three acts were presented on stage:
Sos and Victoria Petrosyan
Sos and Victoria are a husband and wife act like no other! This award winning duo combine fashion, stage-craft and sleight-of-hand to dazzle audiences all over the world. The remarkable couple hold four Guinness World Records in High-Speed Costume Change Illusions (the fastest 16 costumes in 120 seconds!), in addition to their two Merlin Awards and a variety of international accolades. This couple are world famous masters of quick couture and will leave you breathless with a flick of their wrists.
Emi Secrest (vocals) with dancers Jarryd Byrne and Katerina Klishyna
This act features the incredible vocalist Emi Secrest (USA) performing the much loved song Natural Woman. Secrest has travelled all around the globe and performed with artists that include Steve Tyrell, Leona Lewis, Anthony Hamilton and Macy Gray. Secrest will be joined on stage by two of our ballroom dancers, Jarryd Byrne (Aust) and Katerina Klishyna (USA).
Dupla Mão na Roda – Strongmen
Alan Pagnota and Rafael Ferreira
Alan and Rafael use the time-honoured circus art of hand balance as the basis of their performances. Rafael was born with a pathology called Congenital Arthrogryposis and although he has needed a wheelchair throughout his entire life, this has never prevented him from becoming a gifted artist. Alan is a talented performer who perfected the art of clowning by touring with the Blue Man Group and performing on Broadway for many years. Together they combine Alan’s incredible upper body strength with Rafael’s muscle control to create a performance of playful poetry with their bodies.
