Scene News: John McAll’s “Black Money” show at Bird’s Basement, April 22nd

Taking a break from Producing The latest Black Sorrows album and an ever increasingly International touring schedule John McAll will release his latest Album ” Secular”. The third in a trilogy.

“Black Money” the first was recorded in NYC at Bennetts Studios and was released in Australia to sold out shows and great acclaim. The second “Alter Ego” was recorded and produced by Mal Stanley for ABCs Jazztrack.

An inaugural graduate of the V.C.A.s Jazz Course, pianist and composer John McAll has been in- demand as a musician over two decades. Musical Director and producer of shows At Last The Etta James Story -touring October in the UK and Here Comes The Night -which sold out Hamer Hall and the Opera House. This Van Morrison Homage incorporated the MSO and SSO with McAlls orchestrations.

Conducting these Orchestras was a career highlight!

His great versatility has seen him working with a diverse range of artists including Gregory Porter, Ross Wilson, Wycliffe Gordon, Brian Abrahams, Renee Geyer, Kate Ceberano POAO, Nichaud Fitzgibbon, as well as playing international concert stages with The David Chesworth Ensemble, Vika Bull and The Black Sorrows.

This is a rare opportunity to see John McAll play his own music!
