This Ausmusic T-Shirt day, you can help the very people on your threads.
Ausmusic T-Shirt Day has become a staple of Ausmusic Month, a way to show support for your fave local artists and share the love in your feed and on your torso.
But we can do even more to support Aussie musicians.
Studies have shown musicians are five times more likely to suffer from depression and 10 times more likely to show symptoms of anxiety.
So for the first time, the ABC is partnering with music industry crisis relief service Support Act to give back to the Aussie musos that brighten our lives.
Support Act is a charity, unique in Australia, helping artists and music workers who are facing hardship due to illness, a mental health problem, injury or some other crisis that impacts on their ability to work in music.
Alberts, through their Tony Foundation, is helping Support Act launch a helpline just for artists and music workers struggling with their mental health.
But they need a bit more cash to make it happen, so here’s where you come in.
- Wear your fave Aussie artist Tee on Friday 3 November
- Post a selfie with #ausmusictshirtday
- Donate at supportact.org.au
- Go into the draw to win tix to the ARIA Awards

So hit the merch stand, plan your laundry day, and get around it. #Ausmusictshirtday
